IN SHORT: I am a graphic designer living and working in Milwaukee who is looking for full time employment in the design field as well as freelance projects.

SKILLS: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Final Cut Pro, color theory, illustration, photography, writing, interior design, comic relief.

GET THAT MONEY: The Lion’s share of my professional graphic design experience comes from my three year stint at Milwaukee Magazine. There I took photos, made custom illustrations, corrected and altered digital images, made databases, researched businesses, hunted down promotional, free, and stock photography for the daily news articles, went on last minute missions to the outside world, and did basically anything that came up on a given day. Every week was different, so I got to use and learn many skills. Since leaving the magazine I have worked on freelance projects. The biggest mainstay being the posters I've been making for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Creative Writing Department over the past five years. They keep me young and inspired.

ORIGIN STORY: I was inspired to go into graphic design because starting in grade school I was in love with Entertainment Weekly. I've always been interested in the technical side of the entertainment industry, as well as the celebrity culture side. They layout design and typography always intrigued me. Additionally I grew up obsessed with both daily comic strips and comic books. Over the years I drew many of each, but my biggest illustrative hobby was drawing super heroes, characters of my own creation, and speculative video game level layouts. You know, nerd stuff.

Early on in college I subscribed to several fashion magazines because I liked the photography so much, and ever since my sketchbook's main focus has been fashion illustration: dozens of dresses a week, and still plenty of sci-fi warriors. In late 2005 I got my first digital camera and my life has never been the same. I've taken over 150,000 photos of the most gloriously mundane things. For almost a decade I have turned my life into an archival, digital, aestheticized, database art project. It's a thing. I also have a film studies minor, which means all the time I wasn't working on art was spent writing papers. I like to think that I'm a humorous, functional writer. If a job requires some copywriting I am up for the task.

COME SEE ABOUT ME: Take a look around. If you like what you see then obviously we were meant to work together. Why wait? Call today!
